Simpler licensing and easier support
Activate with a code, use online seats automatically, and check out a seat for offline work. Chat now shows its connection and sends with Enter. Send a reviewed session report to support from the status bar.
This update simplifies desktop licensing, makes the chat connection visible and adds optional session reports to support requests. Existing SolidWorks modelling capabilities are unchanged.
Important notices
- Privacy: Session reports are optional and require review and consent before sending. Recognised secrets are removed before preview; review the editable text for other private information. CAD files are not attached automatically.
- Known limitation: Session reports contain a bounded selection of recent complete turns and identify omitted history. Your computer must be connected to your account for support.
- Permissions: Automatic online seat use is enabled by default for enrolled products and can occupy a company seat while the app is running. Turn it off or return the seat in Licensing when you do not want this computer to acquire one.
- Known limitation: This release does not add SolidWorks hole cutting or custom output filenames to the agent tools.
New features
- Open Get help from the status bar and attach an editable report of the selected chat, including its session ID, conversation and tool outcomes.
Improvements
- Activate each product with its activation code. Administrator and designer credential forms are no longer shown in the normal desktop Licensing page.
- View my account opens your online dashboard securely in your browser, where you can sign in to manage your account.
- The chat composer keeps OpenAI Subs, OpenAI API or CueCrux Credits visible beside the model controls.
Reliability fixes
- Enter sends a chat message; Shift+Enter inserts a new line. Composing text with an input method does not send the message.
- Cache-location settings can now call the registered native command from the desktop window.
Licence requirements
- Enrolled products with access acquire an available online seat automatically and renew it near expiry while the app is running. You can turn automatic seat use off in Licensing.
- Check out a seat manually before offline work. Returning a seat pauses automatic acquisition for that product; existing borrowed seats are not replaced by background renewal.
What you need to do
- Use Shift+Enter when you want a new line rather than sending your chat message.
