Activate by signing in from the app

Approve this computer in your browser instead of copying an activation code.

Until it is ready, this is the running order. Each step is also written out below, and you can try it in the simulator.

  1. Start

    Licensing card; Sign in with your ParaCrux account; the code panel.

  2. Approve

    paracrux.com/activate; the computer, product and code; the warning; Approve.

  3. Done

    Back in the app: Signed in, and a seat taken.

Step by step

  1. Start in the app

    Open Licensing. On the ParaCrux Solidworks Agent access card, choose Sign in with your ParaCrux account. The app opens paracrux.com in your browser and shows an 8-letter code, such as BCDF-GHJK.

  2. Sign in on the website

    If you are not signed in, sign in with your email and password. The page shows the computer's name, the product, the code and when the request expires.

  3. Check, then approve

    Approve only if you started this sign-in on your computer just now and the code matches the one in the app. Anyone can choose a computer's name, so never approve a code someone sent you. Approving needs an active subscription and counts as one of your 10 activations a day; it does not take a seat.

  4. Back in the app

    The app finishes on its own. It says Signed in, switches on Use a seat automatically when online and takes a seat when one is free. A request lasts 10 minutes; if it expires, start again.

  5. When to use something else

    Under Use an activation code instead you can still paste a code from My account, for example for scripted set-ups. A computer that is never online uses offline licence files.

What it won't do

  • Approving needs an active subscription; denying does not.
  • A request lasts 10 minutes and works once. A declined or expired request cannot be reused.
  • Each account can approve 10 activations a day, the same limit as activation codes.
  • The computer and your browser both need to be online. For a computer that never is, use offline licence files.
