PARACRUX VIEWER · PREVIEW v0
Your design.
On your website.
Let people explore a part or assembly with the same renderer used in the ParaCrux app. Share from your cloud Vault, choose who can download the CAD, and paste an embed into your site.
Try it with a real assembly
Choose a prepared size and position, click a part, or use the toolbar to section, explode and isolate the assembly.

The simplest route: share from your Vault
Choose your saved source
Use one STEP file, a native ParaCrux part or assembly with its pinned dependencies, or a SolidWorks part or assembly with saved display data. The Vault prepares the render mesh and scene when you open the file or share it. You do not need to export viewer files yourself.
Upload once
Open File Vault, choose Upload files, and select the complete package or its folder. Your original source remains unchanged. Existing files already in your Vault can use the same Share action. You can also upload prepared CXRM and scene files for custom configurations.
The exact source and generated viewer files are stored in your account’s CoreCrux-backed cloud Vault and count toward your storage allowance. Sharing a link does not create another stored copy.
Choose access and copy the embed
Select the file → Share → set an expiry → Create anyone-with-link access. Wait for automatic preparation, then Copy embed code. Subsequent links reuse the prepared files for that saved version. Leave source downloads off when you want visitors to see the model without downloading the original CAD.
Paste it into your website
Use a Custom HTML or Embed block. Paste the generated iframe, set its height, and publish. No viewer installation, account cookies or CoreCrux credentials are needed on the visitor’s site.
If your site uses a Content Security Policy, allow
https://paracrux.cominframe-src. Your website platform must allow iframes.
Control stays with the owner
An embed is pinned to the shared version. A later edit does not silently change a product page: publish the new version and create its link when ready.
Stop sharing in your Vault to deny future loads. Links also expire. Someone who already loaded or downloaded content keeps that copy; a viewer necessarily receives the display geometry.
To share privately, enter the recipient’s email in the Vault. They receive a seven-day invitation, sign in or create an account with that email, and accept it to see the file in Shared with me. You can remove their access at any time. A public website embed uses an anyone-with-link token. CAD source downloads remain a separate choice.
Parts and configurations
Parts can use a single CXRM file. Assemblies use a scene manifest and its mesh file. Multiple prepared scenes in one shared version appear in a Configuration selector in the Vault, shared page and embedded viewer.
You can publish approved sizes, materials or assembly positions as separate scenes. Each scene must reference a mesh included in the same package; external URLs and parent-directory references are refused.
Changing arbitrary dimensions and rebuilding a part or assembly in the website is not available yet. The viewer displays saved results. It does not evaluate the app’s parametric equations or run the CAD kernel.
Host the files yourself
For an existing website with its own model storage, load the web component and point it at your scene file. Copy this example, then replace the model path with your own uploaded file:
<script type="module" src="https://paracrux.com/embed/v0/paracrux-viewer.js"></script>
<paracrux-viewer src="/models/product.scene.json" parts
style="display:block;height:600px"></paracrux-viewer>Serve the scene and CXRM from your website, or configure CORS on their host. The script is self-contained and fetches model files without cookies. Keep model paths relative to the scene file.
displayedges,shaded,hiddenorwireframe.parts- Open the parts list.
explode="0.5"- Set an exploded view from 0 to 1.
auto-rotate- Rotate until the visitor interacts; respects reduced motion.
toolbar="none"- Hide the toolbar.
JavaScript methods: fit(), select(id), isolate(id), setDisplay(name). Events: load, error and select. Use a selector on your page to switch the element’s src between prepared scenes.
Supported sources and custom exports
Cloud sharing automatically prepares a single STEP file or a native ParaCrux part/assembly package with its exact dependencies. This is a saved display, not a CAD rebuild service. SolidWorks .sldprt and .sldasm files use their saved display geometry; include referenced parts when the assembly has no usable embedded display. This does not rebuild SolidWorks features or recover every configuration, material or CAD edge. Files without usable saved graphics and packages containing several unrelated models need a self-contained STEP export or a prepared viewer package. Unsupported or incomplete geometry is reported rather than published as a complete model.
For manually prepared configurations, the repository includes this converter:
python packages/viewer-embed/tools/step2cxrm.py out/product
standard=PRODUCT.STEP alternate=PRODUCT-ALTERNATE.STEP
--title "Product"The converter needs Python and cadquery-ocp. Upload the generated mesh and scene files together. The source upload limit is 64 MiB per version; automatic viewer output is limited to 32 MiB and also counts toward storage, within the account’s 1 GB free or 10 GB Editor allowance.
The viewer needs WebGL 2 and a modern browser. An STL preview can still be shared as a simpler fallback. Viewer v0 is a preview API; pin and test your integration when updating it.
